North Meadow Farm is a small dairy farm nestled in the Green Mountains of Southern Vermont. We produce grass-fed raw milk, meats, fresh cheese curd, artisan farmhouse cheeses, fresh farm eggs, and an interact petting zoo. We use our grass-fed cow's sweet creamy milk to make all of our cheeses and age them on sight in our cheese cave. We generally milk between 10-15 cows at a time, and care for about 50 animals in all.
Our mission is to give you and your family & friends insight into the honest and wholesome experience of farm life. Highlighting the natural processes of providing food for the table, with all of its health benefits, we offer farmhouse tours and an active petting farm from spring until fall. However, we are an open farm and welcome visitors and encourage questions.
Farming Up ... Udderly Delicious
Meet The Farmers
Dave Johnson was leasing land at the farm for hay when he had a vision of it becoming a dairy farm and a farmstead cheese company. Now, that vision is a reality.
Our cheese maker, Lysa Connors Cross, turns 100's of gallons of milk a week into blocks of Clothbound Cheddar, Farmhouse Gouda, Wensley Blue, Northshire Blue, Fresh Cheese Curd, and some delicious soft, spreadable cheeses.
Jesse Pomeroy brings with him over 5 generations of farming experience. He was brought up in Mont Vernon, New Hampshire and he has been farming all his life. He handles most of the daily chores.
Our mission is to give you and your family & friends insight into the honest and wholesome experience of farm life and the natural processes of providing food for the table, with all of its health benefits. Opportunities like participating in the cheese making process, petting the animal, or feeding and milking the dairy cows are experience we'd like to share with you.
